Dissemination and communication

Project’s aim and objectives were promoted through the web-sites of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice  (https://www.unive.it/pag/12421/) and DSAAM (https://www.unive.it/data/15773/). All project-related information, including PowerPoint presentations, scientific articles, and news ensured the visibility of the EU’s financial support.

On 16 January 2019, I briefly presented the project to the members of the Department Council of the DSAAM.

I participated at Marie Curie Info-Day organized by the International Research Office in collaboration with APRE which was held on 13 May 2019. At this event, I gave a short presentation on my research project, shared my experience of writing Marie Curie project proposal, and promoted the MSCA fellowship. This event gave an invaluable opportunity to build networking among MSCA fellows.

On 27 January 2021, I gave an interview on project results and findings to the Communication and Promotion Office of the Ca’ Foscari University. During the interview, I touched upon the material aspects of the diplomatic encounters between the Safavids and Venetians and the first Safavid trade mission to Venice in 1597. Furthermore, I highlighted that the nature and intensity of Safavid diplomatic engagement with Venice could be understood in the light of Ottoman-Venetian and Safavid-Venetian relations, as they were closely related to each other during this period. The interview-based article was appeared on 3 February 2021 on Ca’ FoscariNEWS Newsletter and social media channel on Twitter in both English (titled “Marie Curie fellow discovers unknown texts on Safavid-Venetian relations”) and Italian (titled “Marie Curie scopre testi inediti sui rapporti tra Veneziani e Safavidi”). The interview gave us an immense opportunity to disseminate the main results of the project to the general public. Links to the interview-based article are as following:
